The Modern Annals Timelines Information System (TIS)
Institute of Modern History (Academia Sinica)
The Modern Annals TIS System (Timelines Information System) is a new type of database started by the Modern History Institute (Academia Sinica) DataBases team. It offers a timeline as the key search method. The content covers two hundred years of modern history and takes as its principle accurate and reliable historical sources, the Daily Records of the History of the Republic of China, and the Detailed Preliminary Draft of Major Events in the Life of Chiang Kai-shek. These are supplemented with modern diaries by famous persons such as The Diary of Hsu Yung-chang and The Diary of Wang Shih-chieh, and so forth. The Timeline offers the possibility of examining history from many different angles.
